The Cowboys signed linebacker Rashaan Evans to the active roster on Saturday ahead of their Sunday matchup against the Panthers.
In a corresponding move, Dallas placed defensive end Viliami Fehoko, the Cowboys’ fourth-round pick in this year’s draft, on injured reserve. Fehoko hasn’t appeared in a game this season and has been dealing with a knee issue.

The Cowboys signed Evans to the practice squad last month to add more depth at linebacker after Leighton Vander Esch was placed on injured reserve. Vander Esch has since been ruled out for the season.

The Cowboys have elevated Evans from the practice squad three times and he’s made appearances against the Rams, Eagles and Giants. Practice squad players are afforded three elevations during the season before they must be signed to the 53-man roster.
Evans, the Titans’ former 2018 first-round pick, spent time on the Philadelphia Eagles’ practice squad in September before signing with Dallas. He appeared in 76 games during his time with the Titans and Falcons and started 67 of those.
